Making Use of the Opportunities!

Opportunity is the ready event that everyone seeks for in the marketplace of life. Businesses seek it. Organizations seek it. Even individuals seek it. It is prayed for. Worked for. Campaigned for and hoped for.

But a principal key to the provision and release of opportunities and constant availability of it is Attitude.

Attitude can make or break. It is a principal factor in the market place of life. The truth is your Attitude will ultimately determine your ALTITUDE (height/level) in life. But what is Attitude? Attitude is simply the way you see things. And the truth is that the way you see things is essentially a product of your PERSPECTIVE.

Talking about attitude and perspective - how would you respond when your proposal is rejected, turned down, not accepted? Perhaps, in one of several ways:

1) Maybe I didn't really do a thorough work - I guess I need to improve my skills.

2) Maybe they don't like me - they probably have respect of persons.

3) Perhaps the timing of my submission was not right - Maybe I need to resubmit the proposal at some future date.

4) I'm fed up of this whole thing.

The fact is that your ultimate action is a product of how you viewed that rejection. (If you took it personal, motivation to try again would completely be absent).

I roundoff by bringing to your knowledge an ancient writing ...a righteous man falls seven times, yet rises again...

If you view the rejection as an event separate from your person, you would try again. You would try other locations, etc.

I'll write more on this. Cheers!

Making Your Exploits a Reality!

"And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he pervert by flatteries; but the people that know their God shall be strong, and do [exploits]." Dan 11:32 (ASV)

The moment we begin to break the divine covenant, we inadvertently are beginning to position ourselves to become subdued by flatteries.

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia defines flattery as the act of giving excessive compliments, generally with the purpose of ingratiating oneself with the subject. It is also called adulation or blandishment.

The scripture above says, those that do wickedly against the covenant. The moment backsliding becomes a lifestyle or lack of submission to the scriptures becomes a regular practice, it becomes easy to build on those to establish greater vices.

"... shall he pervert by flatteries..."

He gets them to become worse by telling them it doesn't really matter. By encouraging them in their defiant attitudes and behaviours. Ultimately a permanent disconnect is secured between them and God, and then, the flatterer strikes and very hard!

As long as you are defiant to the divine covenant, making your exploits a reality remains a daydream.

"But the people that do know their God..."

Are you succeptible to excessive compliments. You need to check the basis of those comments. Are they real? Genuine? Or are they geared towards making you derail.

Making your exploits a reality know doubt requires knowledge of God.

Our knowledge of God must be evident in the different facets of our lives.

"In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." I Thess 5:18

Understanding the import of thanksgiving positions us appropriately to make our exploits a living reality.

In Numbers 13, Israel was a few hours away from great exploits. They had the choice to express their knowledge of God via thanksgiving. Joshua and Caleb pointed out the way to them in Numbers 14 but they chose the way of murmuring. The end result, a few hours to their exploits turned to become a destiny closed up, forever.

Are you thankful? What are you going through that no one has experienced? Think again.

Thank Him for today. Thank Him for your life. Thank Him for every situation and circumstance.

It is only when you are thankful that you can truly be joyful. The Lord help you to begin a new life pattern. God's blessings!

The Force of Loyalty - Positions us for Divine Remembrance

The interesting thing about Loyalty is that it must be preceeded by a pledge - a verbal(vocal) or written commitment. In some cases, inaudible (internalised) commitments. That is where the concept of "...For better for worse..." emanated from. It simply implies that in changing circumstances or situations, I will remain loyal. It's time to refresh our memories regarding our various commitments. When we do, we wil suddenly discover a fresh enthusiam and strength to stay loyal. In our homes. In our marriages. The workplace. Our relationship with God. In our churches. With friends...etc. Let's get up and show ourselves Loyal men and women. Think about it... Who do you readily think about? Isn't the people who you consider committed or loyal to you? The Lord help us all...

The Force of Loyalty - Guarantees Divine Remembrance

2) The Force of Loyalty - Guarantees Divine Remembrance

In the previous session, we wrote on the Force of God's word - His promises. In this session I'll be sharing on another force that guarantees that you will be remembered by God, for good. The Force of LOYALTY!

Loyalty is defined as a feeling or attitude of devoted attachment and affection. Devoted implies commitment. Loyalty to God - a prerequisite to being remembered by Him for good cannot be achieved and sustained without determination and resoluteness of heart - the reason? There will be trials and temptations that will attempt to push us off the edge. That form of resoluteness shown by Esther in the book of Esther in the Bible "...If I perish, I perish..." will be necessary to guarantee unfailing loyalty. Still talking Loyalty...It will be tried thoroughly. Incidentally, to stay loyal to one another in relationships of all kinds will require a determination to stay put, to hang on in there, to hold on. When his family, business and health were destroyed by the devil, there was no explanation to Job as to who was doing it (Job 1:20-22, Job 2:7-10) or why he was going through all of that but, his loyalty to God stayed in tact. Ordinarily, when there are differences, either in our views, lifestyles, expectations, etc, loyalty to ourselves suffer but Job even while in terrible pains and sorrow he wrote "...I know that my Redeemer liveth..." (Job 19:25-27). His loyalty to God was unwavering even when he couldn't understand what will be be achieved by the destruction of all that he valued...The end result of his loyalty? God remembered him for good (Job 42:10-17). Let's practice unwavering loyalty in our relationships, particularly our marriages...Differences will show up as we journey through life but let's remember, it takes determination to stay in there. As we stay determined, our homes will succeed! God will work things out for our joy! See you on the side of success. God bless you.
